What We Collect
The focus of the Central Florida WW2 Museum Veterans History Project is first-hand accounts
of veterans and civilians from all nations in World War II.
NOTE: The Library of Congress collects stories from wars before and after World War II. If you
would like to submit a story for a war or conflict other than World War II, please CLICK HERE to
be directed to the Library of Congress Veterans History Project Web site.
Recording Formats
Video:
- digital video

Audio:
- audio cassette
- CD
- do not use microcassetes
- digital audio - mp3
Documents & Photos
We also collect:
- Original narratives/memoirs, and
wartime diaries or journals.
- Collections of letters.
- Official military documents.
- Collections of original photos or
artwork.
- Photocopies of the above.
What about electronic documents?
- We accept documents in PDF
and Microsoft formats.
- Use .txt, .gif, .jpeg formats when
possible.
Artifacts
- Uniforms/Helmets/Footwear
- Field gear including canteens,
mess kits, personal stoves,
personal items such as razors,
cigarettes.
- Dog tags, medals, insignia.
- Weapons or military equipment.
- Vehicles.
- Flags.
- Framed materials.
We collect artifacts from all countries and armies
that participated in World War II.
