The success of the Central Florida World War II Museum will largely depend upon our
ability to design and build informative exhibits linking the past with the present.

In order to achieve this goal, the museum is diligently working to collect veteran histories
and artifacts for planned exhibits.

These exhibits will offer visitors a personal look into the daily lives of soldiers and
civilians during the war.  Oral and written histories combined with artifacts will give
viewers a real understanding of what the war was like and why it was fought.
VETERANS HISTORY PROJECT
The Oral History Project currently needs video
and audio equipment including a high definition
camera, microphone and boom equipment, and
lighting in addition to recording accessories as
well as computer hardware and software in order
to store, edit and produce videos for the museum
and the Library of Congress.

This program is literally in a race against time.

The Central Florida WW2 Museum Oral History
Project works to record the men and women
who experienced World War II.  The goal of this
program is to document their memories so 10,
20, 30, 100, or 500 years from now people will
have the opportunity to learn about the war
from the people who lived it.

As an educational program, the Oral History
Project relies solely on funding provided by
donors.
This program is not funded by the
United States Government.

While this project is strictly run by unpaid
volunteers, it does have needs which
desperately require funding.
The Central Florida World War II Museum is
currently collecting artifacts for our collections.
Artifact donations include anything related to
World War II like photographs, newspapers,
scrapbooks, uniforms, personal effects,
weapons, vehicles, souvenirs, letters and
the like.

If you have items from World War II, please
help us preserve them for use in educational
programs by donating them to the Central
Florida WW2 Museum.
All projects will be made possible by the generous support of our donors.

The Central Florida World War II Museum is ded-
icated to telling the story or World War 2 from the
perspective of those who experienced it.

Veterans and civilians offer a unique look into a
conflict which affected the entire world.  Their
recollections help us examine war on a personal
level.  In this manner, it is hoped that the war will
not be viewed as a game played out on maps,
but a conflict affecting the lives of real people.

Together with oral and written histories, artifacts
will be utilized to create state of the art interactive
exhibits taken straight from the pages of history.

Our hope is that visitors from all over the world
will be able to visit this museum and enjoy an
historical experience which will teach about the
sacrifices made to preserve freedom, and the
seriousness of a war which has peculiarly come
to be known as the last good war.
