Technical Sergeant Raymond A. Day
Tech. Sergeant Raymond A. Day, Top Turret Gunner - B24 Liberator Bomber.
Tech. Sergeant Day's personal effects include his personal photo album containing photographs from his
first days in the Army Air Corps to those taken in the B24 Liberator he served on while stationed in
Italy.  A selection of photographs from the album can be seen below.

The leather patch, as worn on Tech. Sergeant Day's jacket in the photo above, depicts a flying box car.  
The collection contains numerous photos of B24 Bombers in flight.  
More photos in flight in addition to photos taken at different historical sites in Rome.
Certificate of Valor for service in the 15th Air Force, 451st Bombardment Group.  Tech. Sergeant Day would
be awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, Royal Air Force Distinguished Flying Medal, Air Medal, and
Three Oak Leaf Cluster to the Air Medal.  
Memories from home.  Photos of Tech. Sergeant Day's sweetheart which were more than likely carried with
him during the war.
