We would like to thank the following organizations for helping make Seaside Swing! a successful and
memorable event. Photographs are posted below.
Seaside Swing was the first fundraising event for the Central Florida WW2 Museum. Upon arrival, guests
were greeted by a World War II display featuring different vehicles.
Welcome to the Gulfport Casino Ballroom!
The Ten O'Clock Band, an 18 member big band in the tradition of the great big bands, sets the mood
bringing guests back to the 1940's.
We were extremely grateful to see so many people come out to support the Central Florida WW2 Museum.
Two of our guests came all the way from Ohio! A few others came from as far as three hours away. As
one guest remarked, "Simply astonishing, since you do not even run a facility open to the public yet." We
could not agree more. Below are some random photographs from the event.
Frank Gavaghan won the raffle and walked away with a 15" Magnavox LCD Flatscreen Television donated
by Badcock Home Furniture and more. Other guests won a number of very nice auctions including two
weekend vacations from the Surf Song, Tupperware donated by the Friedel Family, and a round of golf
for four including carts at the The Preserve Golf Club at Tara.

We are especially grateful to Dick and Diane Deren, Col. Michael Roberts, and Scott Campbell for
providing their vehicles and displays for the evening. All are members of the Military Vehicle
Preservation Association. We hope to continue working with this organization and its members.
We would like to thank everyone who came out to support the Central Florida WW2 Museum. Seaside
Swing was an enormous success because of your generosity and commitment to preserving the memory of
the G.I. Generation.
"As it was their duty to serve us, so it is ours to serve them. Do not be content to let the weeds of time
grow over the headstones of those brave souls, nor let their deeds be overlooked. For they, as they have
always done and continue to do, left the safety of home in the hope that tomorrow your children would
not have to. Almighty God, we pray that You continue to watch over our veterans and active military
personnel."
