U.S.S. Kaweah - Radio Press News
On February 22, 1945, Daniel E. Horrigan RM2/C had the presence of mind to collect and mail copies
of the U.S.S. Kaweah's Radio Press News to his wife.  
The Radio Press News was the official news broadcast for the U.S.S. Kaweah, an oil ship which served in
the Atlantic and Caribbean, and this very unique collection consists of daily headlines from December 15,
1944 to February 19, 1945.  Each daily consists of four pages with news from the homefront, European
Theater of Operations, and Pacific Theater of Operations.    

This collection of headlines is a great chronicle showing how the historic events of World War II unfolded
on a day to day basis.    A copy of one of the headlines is shown below.
