The year is 1945.  The war in Europe is over.  The Allies are victorious.  Take a trip back in time when the "Greatest Generation" was still young;
when the good guys triumphed over the Nazi scourge; when the lines between good and evil were clear.
Join us at the Villages May 9 & 10, 2009 to celebrate th 64th anniversary of the Allied victory over the Axis forces in Europe,
the beginning of the end of World War II.
The Twelfth Annual V-E Day Celebration
For two days, authentic World War II camps manned by reenactors will showcase various uniforms, weapons,
and equipment used by soldiers from Allied and Axis armies during the war.

Fully operational military vehicles, from jeeps to armored cars, will be displayed so you can see
the arsenal of democracy up close and in person.

Entertainment will include food and beverage vendors, live music, and a USO party on Saturday night.

Saturday night, May 9th, dance in the company of World War II veterans to the sounds of the Big Bands
made famous in the 1940's in the heart of the Villages.  This is your chance to kick up your heels
and wear your Class A's, 40's civilian clothing, or any vintage uniform.
(Modern clothing also acceptable.)
